Why ENET matters:

I have bought this adapter on the 2nd of April 2020. and it was delivered in 20 days, as stated in the order, even though the corona-virus crisis occurred.
The adapter is excellent and I am really satisfied with it! I used the adapter to code my car through the Bimmercode app. The car modules are read very fast (couple of seconds). Also, the coding process is very quick (as expected) since WiFi data transfer speed is much greater than the speed of Bluetooth data transfer. I will definitely recommend the adapter to my friends.

Basically this is a wifi router with disabled router functionality. It also includes a dhcp server. My adapter is not using OpenWrt like you can see here https://modbm.com/iphone/ . But the web gui is fast and stable. So I don’t need OpenWrt. “only” 4 stars because this information should be in the description, too.

I must say I’m very pleasantly surprised! I ordered my WIFI adapter on a Saturday afternoon and with express shipping even with delays I got it the following Friday. Being that it shipped from Europe to South Africa during a pandemic at least that’s really quick. I connected it to my car to see if it would connect with MHD to clear codes so long before I purchase my tuning license and it picked up immediately and worked super fast and flawlessly. After this I opened up Bimmercode and once again it automatically picked up within a second or two!
Very pleased with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested. Thanks again to the ModBm team for speedy service and having great after sale support with downloads for firmware available online.

Customer Service is A++++. First Adapter I recieved was broken. They sent out a new one immediately without waiting for me to send back the broken one first.

modBM WIFI ENET adapter easily connects to iPhone and works well with Bimmercode. I don’t know about other programs because I haven’t tried them, but I assume there shouldn’t be a problem. Thanks PROGRAMA LTD.!

Our WIFI ENET adapter is not compatible with E-series.

Everything is fine with me too. I coded with Bimmercode and read out an error with Bimmerlink and switched my four-wheel drive on and off again with XDelete. It’s all much faster than with a Bluetooth dongle. I will still test whether it works with the G models.

Superfast (standard !) shipping from Bulgaria to the Netherlands , tested right after delivery and was very easy to install : just search for interface in Wifi settings of tablet or handy and activate ! Wifi password ( 12345678 ) is on the interface .
I tested the tool with BMW ProTool which also connected rightaway after choosing Wifi Enet option – really very fast communication with hardly noticable delay ! I’m very happy with the tool which i will also use with Bimmercode, Bimmerlink, Esys and Ista Next.

Adapter is connected via WLAN (connection is established), in Ista HO / ICOM was set as the connection …. but is currently being operated with an OBD 12 V adapter because the BMW vehicle is not there, the adapter is not found here when connecting …. he absolutely needs the BMW car to be found … or is something set wrong? greeting

ISTA will detect the car if you didn’t made any wrong settings onto INPA settings or on your local area network settings. Everything should be left on automatic settings.

I first bought a UniCarScan UCSI-2100 Bluetooth Adapter but these device is terribly slow. That brought me to the Wifi-Enet adapter from modBM. After working with it in combination with Bimmerlink and Bimmercode I can almost say only positive things about it. There is only one little thing who bothers me. When you try to remove the adapter, it jams a bit and you have to apply some force to be able to loosen it. Apart from that a great product!

Hello Everyone, please be aware that this WiFi adapter (modbm) is not compatible with xHP!!!
When I tried to flash my car with that adapter the flashing process failed. The end result was errors from the unfinished flashing process.
Modbm is saying that their adapter is supporting xHP but this is not true. If you check the official website of xHP you will notice that modbm adapter is not part of the supported adapters.
Dear Modbm, please don’t be so rude to lie your customers.

Our adapter is still fully compatible with xHP for F-series. It is compatible with xHP for G-series after successful transmission unlocking, which requires D-CAN connection.
