modLight Lite (E46/E83/E85)

modLight Lite is our “modLight” module for E46/E83/E85.
It adds a lot of new features into your car, like welcome lights, goodbye lights and follow me home lights activated by the remote controller of your key fob, comfort turn signals, automatic unlock on engine turn off.
Compatible with all of the following models:

• 3-series (E46)
• X3-series (E83)
• Z4-series (E85)

Installation into your car is really simple, you have to connect it to three wires of your car’s wire harness: 12V, GND (ground) and KBUS wire.

Once you connect these three wires to your car, modLight Lite is ready for use. It has a simple two buttons user interface menu, which allows you to enable/disable or configure the functions.

ModLight Lite module has the following functions to your E46/E83:

1. When you unlock your car by clicking the unlock button of your remote key, modLight Lite will start the “Welcome Lights” function which will make one of the following:
   a) Turn parking lights on for 10/15/20 or 25 seconds and at the end it ads the turn signals as well for a second. You can also add the foglamps* or the low beams.
   or
   b) Turn high beams + fog lamps* + reverse lights on for 10/15/20/25 seconds and then turns off.
   or
   c) Turn on the modLight cycle 1 (you can see the different cycle patterns here: Patterns).
   or
   d) Turn onthe modLight cycle 2 (you can see the different cycle patterns here: Patterns).
   
2. When you lock your car by pressing of the button on the remote key it will start the “Goodbye lights” function which will do one of the following:
   a) Turn parking lights on for 10/15/20 or 25 seconds and at the end it ads the turn signals as well for a second. You can also add the foglamps* or the low beams.
   or
   b) Turn high beams + fog lamps* + reverse lights on for 10/15/20/25 seconds and then turns off.
   or
   c) Turn on the modLight cycle 1 (you can see the different cycle patterns here: Patterns).
   or
   d) Turn onthe modLight cycle 2 (you can see the different cycle patterns here: Patterns).
4. Longpress lock lights. You can choose which lights pattern to start when you hold the lock button for 1.5s.
   You can start any of the lights patterns described above.
   
5. Doublepress lock lights. You can choose which lights to start when you press the lock twice.
   You can start any of the lights patterns described above.
   
6. Comfort blinker (comfort turn signals)*.
   Triple blinker – when this function is enabled and when you click the left blinker (turn signal) to blink once, your modLight Lite will add 2/3/4 additional blinks.
   *Please note, this function works 9/10. Sometimes (1/10 times) the additional blinks added by modLight Lite are delayed with a second.
   
7. Auto lock when your car reaches 18km/h and auto-unlock when you turn off the engine.
   This function  can be coded to your original GM module with Pasoft1.4, NCS Expert or any other coding software, but there is older cars which do not have this function available and thats why we added this function to our modLight Lite module.
   
8. Auto unlock when you turn the engine turn off. When this function is enabled, your modLight Lite module will automatic unlock your car (if locked) when you turn the motor off.
9. Automatic side mirrors folding by the key remote. This feature works only if the car is equipped with electric seats and mirrors with memory.
10. Automatic side mirrors unfolding by key remote. This feature works only if the car is equipped with electric seats and mirrors with memory.
