modLight Lite is our “modLight” module for E46/E83/E85.
It adds a lot of new features into your car:
- ✅Welcome lights
- ✅Goodbye lights
- ✅Follow me home lights
- ✅Comfort turn signals
- ✅Automatic unlock on engine turn off.
Compatible with all of the following models:
- ✅3-series (E46)
- ✅X3-series (E83)
- ✅Z4-series (E85)
Simple to install, you only have to connect modLight Lite to 12V (DIR), GND (ground) and K-BUS wire in your car.
ModLight Lite has a simple 2-button user interface, which allows you to enable/disable or configure the functions really easy.
ModLight Lite module provides the following functions to your car:
- Lights on pressing unlock button of your key remote – “Welcome Lights”. You can choose one of the following:
a) Parking lights for 10/15/20 or 25 seconds. You can also add the foglamps* or the low beams.
b) High beams + fog lamps* + reverse lights on for 10/15/20/25 seconds.
c) modLight lightshow – cycle 1 (you can see the different cycle patterns here: Patterns).
d) modLight lightshow – cycle 2 (you can see the different cycle patterns here: Patterns). - Lights on pressing lock button of your key remote – “Goodbye Lights”. You can choose one of the following:
a) Parking lights for 10/15/20 or 25 seconds. You can also add the foglamps* or the low beams.
b) High beams + fog lamps* + reverse lights on for 10/15/20/25 seconds.
c) modLight lightshow – cycle 1 (you can see the different cycle patterns here: Patterns).
d) modLight lightshow – cycle 2 (you can see the different cycle patterns here: Patterns). - Longpress lock lights. You can choose which lights pattern to start when you hold the lock button for 1.5s.
You can start any of the lights patterns described above. - Doublepress lock lights. You can choose which lights to start when you press the lock twice.
You can start any of the lights patterns described above. - Comfort blinker (comfort turn signals)*.
Triple blinker – when this function is enabled and when you click the left blinker (turn signal) to blink once, your modLight Lite will add 2/3/4 additional blinks.
*Please note, this function works 9/10. Sometimes (1/10 times) the additional blinks added by modLight Lite are delayed with a second. - Auto lock when your car reaches 18km/h and auto-unlock when you turn off the engine.
This function can be coded to your original GM module with Pasoft1.4, NCS Expert or any other coding software, but there is older cars which do not have this function available and thats why we added this function to our modLight Lite module. - Auto unlock when you turn the engine turn off. When this function is enabled, your modLight Lite module will automatic unlock your car (if locked) when you turn the motor off.
- Automatic side mirrors folding by the key remote. This feature works only if the car is equipped with electric seats and mirrors with memory.

Works fantastic. Great support from modbm team on e-mail. I connected my unit behind my chinese 2din player (xtrons) . In ny scenario yellow was 12v, black was ground and green was bus signal. Routing cables to The glove box altso took less than 5 minutes.
